KPM Franklin is Reaching New Heights with LiDAR Aerial Scanning
LiDAR News recently published an article featuring an interview with KPM Franklin, a leading provider of engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services. A RIEGL customer since 2022 and close neighbor to the RIEGL USA headquarters in Winter Garden, FL, KPM Franklin has been utilizing a RIEGL miniVUX-3UAV sensor integrated onto a Harris Aerial Carrier H6 drone platform. The addition of this sensor and platform combination brought in unparalleled results with increased efficiencies and has been a game-changer for their workflows.
Our latest addition, and certainly the most exciting we’ve seen yet, has been our current setup with Harris Aerial and RIEGL. The hardware capability this has added to our tool chest has been a significant upgrade, yielding results we’ve become very passionate about with substantial benefits felt from our clients.
Learn more about some exciting project examples such as a scan performed for Rocky Mountain Construction at Fun Spot America in Kissimmee, Florida. The goal of this project was to provide survey support of the Mine Blower roller coaster so the wooden track on this steel support attraction could be swapped out for a more durable steel track. Also, another Florida based project consisted of a scan completed for land development in Clermont.
