3rd Underwater Workshop: 3D Underwater Mapping from Above and Below
The 3rd edition of the underwater workshop, organized on behalf of the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), CIPA Heritage Documentation, and the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF), will take place from July 8–11, 2025, at TU Wien in Austria.
The event aims to bring together researchers, users, and other interested parties in the field of underwater 3D imaging (e.g., photogrammetry, bathymetry), regardless of whether the sensors are positioned above or below the water surface. The program will include half-day tutorials, two days of single-track technical sessions featuring invited talks, oral presentations, posters and demos at the water lab facility of TU Wien, as well as a post-event excursion to the pre-Alpine Pielach River.
RIEGL is supporting the event as a platinum sponsor and will be participating and exhibiting.
Learn more about the broad portfolio of RIEGL’s topo-bathymetric sensors and systems for applications in coastline & shallow water mapping and river surveying like the VQ-840-GL, the NEW VQ-840-GE, and the NEW VQ-860-G at the RIEGL booth.
In addition, we would like to invite you to join the RIEGL presentation and tutorial, focusing on our advanced solutions for topo-bathymetric applications.
Further details will follow.
We look forward to meeting you in Vienna!
