PDF-Data Sheet of the SCANNING LIBRARY RiScanLib (65.823 byte)

The scanner libary implements data acquisition and binary to high-level data conversion. The library is implemented using COM technology and is packaged into a DLL-file. Multithreading architecture assures smooth data acquisition while your program might be engaged in advanced calculations.

Key Features

  • Converts binary data stream to high level data types.

  • Interfaces to all RIEGL used data ports (LPT, COM, ECP, TCP/IP, RiPORT) and disk files (e.g. logging files).

  • Converts data to polar, spherical, and cartesian coordinates.

  • Support of 3D scanners (LMS-Z420, LMS-Z210, LPM types), 2D scanners (LMS-Q140, LMS-Q250 types) and single sensors (1D).

  • Supports Windows 95/98, NT and 2000 platforms.

  • Example programms for Delphi and Visual C++ available.

  • Multi threaded architecture.

  • Scanner dependent corrections.

  • You choose your own favorite programming environment, e.g. Visual C++, Delphi ...

  • Scan event messages for "start of frame", "line", "end of frame" ...

  • Integrated data logging feature.

  • Get data as single point, array of points (line) or point cloud (frame) in single function call.

  • Get additional RGB (true color image), intensity (signal strength) and measurement time.

  • Comfortable error handling.

  • Compact API (application interface), less then 20 functions necessary.
