24. Internationale Tagung des ÖVG-Arbeitskreises Eisenbahntechnik

(08.05.2023)

Die 24. Internationale Tagung des ÖVG-Arbeitskreises Eisenbahntechnik (Fahrweg) findet vom 8. – 10. Mai 2023 in Salzburg, Österreich statt.

24th Convention of the Working Committee on Railway Technology

24th Convention of the Working Committee on Railway Technology will take place from May 8 – 10, 2023 in Salzburg, Austria.

In the three thematic blocks Technology, Efficiency, and Environment, the possibilities for increasing capacity and availability are presented and discussed. Reports of examples including experiences from the practical implementation in projects by railroad companies from all over the world complement the scientific findings.

RIEGL is sponsor of the event and will present the new RIEGL VMR Robotic Rail Laser Scanning System in course of the LIVE demonstrations, that take place on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 10:00 – 12:30 at Salzburg Main Station.

The sensor part of the system, a RIEGL VZ-400i laser scanner, provides high-resolution scan data. In Stop & Go mode, it performs up to 50 scans per hour. These single scanning positions are registered onboard, with high precision and fully automatically. Optionally, high-resolution calibrated photos are taken in parallel. The georeferenced point clouds are then prepared for exportation to dedicated third-party rail processing software packages.
